Calamagrostis brachytricha reaches a maximum height of 1.5m and bears pretty cream panicles, tinged pink. Perfect for the back of the border or added amongst perennials, it can also look good adding height to mixed containers. Cut back after Winter.
 
Anemanthele lessoniana is a wonderfully versatile grass with its beautiful colours of orange, green and burgundy it looks great in any border. As well as being popular with wildlife, it is also evergreen, so looks great all year round. Height 90-100cm.
 
The Imperata is cherished for its blood red leaves that redden as the season progresses. Reaching a height of 50cm, it can be added to the front or middle of the border, around ponds or into containers. Deciduous.
