One of our most popular grasses. Stipa tenuissima (also known as 'Pony Tails') loves the sun, good drainage and will look attractive all year round. Each one will reach around 60cm in height and 30cm in width and will form fluffy plumes of silvery green. Described as being the 'Wind Dancer' or 'Wind Whispers', it sways in the gentlest of breezes, bringing movement into the garden.

It is ideal for the front of the border,  in containers, gravel gardens and for a seaside theme. Sun-loving, resilient, thriving in poor soil and drought tolerant once established, it's perfect to go with other drought plants or to create a natural effect on its own.
