COMPETITION TIME - AUTUMN 2021

Every Autumn, for 21 years, we've been asked, "Is it still ok to plant alpines?" In general, with the soil still warm from Summer and no severe frosts forecast, it is actually an ideal time to plant into well drained soil.

Planting now allows them to get established and let them concentrate in Spring on flowering.

We have a lovely range of hardy, evergreen alpines that make ideal additions to decorative pots, raised beds and containers for Autumn displays in the garden or by doorways and porches. Early spring bulbs can be interplanted for a charming surprise after Christmas.

Wrap up warm and get creative with any container or old slow cooker pot you can find. We'd love to see the photos of your Autumn creations.

We'll choose our favourite at the end of November and send a voucher worth £50 to redeem on our website anytime in 2022. Entries must be received by 30th November 2021 and the winner will be announced on 1st December 2021.
